Ursa tilted her head as she watched the fight going on bellow her feet. She’d come to the Olympus Coliseum on the bidding of an old friend to check on a new fighter that had started to frequent the area, A girl named Laive. She seemed odd this brunette. She had a weapon unlike anything the young Keyblade wielder had set her eyes upon yet. She smiled as she turned her head again when a noise drew her attention. Said other woman was currently in the middle of sparing with a nasty pair of Heartless. Ursa had managed to show up right before they did so she could watch this new person’s fighting style. It was interesting seeing a non-blade wielder fight so aggressively. She cocked her head to the other side before grabbing her own weapon, Orion’s Belt, and jumping to the ground just as the other woman completed her final blow to the heartless. It seemed adrenaline was still coursing through the other woman as well as she turned on the smaller woman and started to strike her again. Ursa quickly rolled to the side and drew Orion’s Belt her usually pristine braided bun falling out as she did.

“Oui! I’m not a Heartless. Stand down please.” Ursa’s hand flittered over the handle of her weapon as she gained the eye contact of the other woman before releasing her own on edge stance.

“Sorry there. I thought you were another heartless. But that’s obviously not the case,” the brunette responded her head nodding towards the Keyblade in the other’s hand.

“Not at all. Good reflexes though. I’m Ursa by the way. An old friend of mine said I might find you here and I should try to either befriend you or at least spar. Muscle Boy always does think I need more of that. Tiny and all.”

“Nice to meet you Ursa. I’m Laive. I take it the old friend is Muscle Boy and that is who exactly?” the younger woman asked as she placed her own weapon down and sat beside it plopping on the ground as only a teenager could do. Ursa laughed lightly before placing her own weapon on the ground gently and sitting swiftly.

“You might know him as Hercules. I come here often while I was training and we formed a friendship. Along with a few characters in other worlds this one is the one I visit most often. My teacher often suggested I travel and form friendships while I train.”

“I know him and oh that’s neat. Who is your master then?” The young girl asked curious about this new auburn haired woman.

“He doesn’t like me to tell who he is honestly. He’s just a Keyblade Master who wanted to teach someone. He likes mystery I suppose, which if you ask me isn’t needed at all.  And I take it you’re too tired to spar?”

“Not if you want to,” the young woman said starting to get up only to be stopped by Ursa’s hand on her wrist.

“Honestly, no thank you. Like I said Muscle Boy thinks I need to spar but I rather just meet people first instead of fighting them. It’s more interesting that way to me at least. Now, how about a friendly less violent game though to pass the time?” Ursa asked as she waved her hands slightly over her side pack then pulled out a chess board and it’s pieces.

    “Nice job.”

“Thank you, Laive. My teacher’s teacher and his friends played this game for hours. I learned to love it too. Sally from Halloween Town is rather good at this, as is Princess Belle. Although I still think my favorite opponent so far has my teacher, I’ve yet to beat him.” Ursa smiled as she moved it so that the young girl was white allowing her the first move.

“And that makes him your favorite? Odd, but I know Sally! She’s really nice and Halloween Town is really fun. What kind of creature do you turn into if you don’t mind me asking?” Laive looked hesitantly at the other woman before just picking a piece and moving it without really thinking. It took a while before the other woman answered her question both women sitting in silence as they moved their pieces around the board

“Oh, well I turn into something of a pumpkin creature. Similar to Jack actually. Only more pumpkin flesh and less all bones. More like a very terrifying scarecrow to be honest. I much rather enjoy my outfit when I get to visit some of the other lands. I still think my favorite form though is the Pride Rock transformation. I do enjoy felines and larger creatures so the ability to become one is fantastic, although it messes with how one wields their weapon.” Ursa shrugged as she carefully moved her piece around the board then looked up at the other woman.

“You’ve been to Pride Rock too? That’s so cool! Yeah kicking butt is hard without hands to hold your weapon.” The younger woman repeated herself only this time picking the knight and moving it accordingly.

“Yes although not as difficult in Atlantica although when one has a light up body everything becomes more, well, bright.” Ursa rolled her eyes at her own pun before she moved yet another piece and captured one of the other woman’s.

“Good one! You travel a lot it seems.” Laive frowned lightly at the board before moving the queen piece thinking she’d get the other woman.

“Yes, Teacher believes it’s the best way to train. To help fight the Heartless and other creatures and become a Keyblade Master myself. Which I hope I can do soon.” Ursa nodded as she moved a piece to protect her own queen.

“I wish you luck Ursa!” Laive told her as she captured the other woman’s rook and moved to take her queen. She looked up at the older woman before her eyes widened as Ursa moved her piece to capture Laive’s queen instead and effectively winning the game.

“By the way you should never have let your queen do all the fighting. Check mate’s become easier that way. Although I will admit you lasted longer than other’s I’ve played.” Ursa looked back down at her waist and noticed her communication device beeping at her and with a quickly placed spell cleaned up the game. “I’m afraid I must be going home now. Teacher’s called and I’ve missed it. He’ll be furious if I don’t get back soon. It was a pleasure to meet and talk with you Laive. We should do it again soon. And perhaps spar next time. I’d love to see that weapon in action close up.”

“As I would like to see yours. And kick your butt. See you another time Ursa. Oh and next time you’re in Twilight Town or Radiant Garden’s look me up. I should be somewhere if you ask the right people.”

“I shall keep that in mind for sure, young one. Safe travels and swift winds.” Ursa smiled at the younger woman. Yes she was happy to have followed her demi-god friend’s advice and found her.
Laive smiled as she waved at the older woman as she left. She’d have to ask Hercules about her later, as well as Sally and any others the older woman might have encountered. She seemed like a rather neat person, if a little stiff. Perhaps her sisters even knew of the mysterious Keyblade wielder and her equally as mysterious master.
Finally able to upload this. This is my part of an art Trade with :iconpumpkincookie: Her kingdom heart's character is adorable and really fun. I hope I did her justice. I thought she also might get along with my slightly older KH girl Ursa, who finally has reached her like final incarnation for sure. She's actually from Radiant Garden's and is a keyblade wielder often called the Star Gazer. I thought she and the 'Witch of Space' might get along swimmingly. So yeah. Here it is. All 1200+ words of semi-glory. If you dont like it Pumpkincookie let me know and I'll try my best to fix it :D
